Our Programs

Through our extensive network of projects, we focus on key areas.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOODS

Investing in women and youth through economic empowerment and skills development is an effective means to drive progress on gender equality, poverty eradication, and inclusive economic growth. We promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, drive progress, and improve living standards, by building economic sustainability and resilience amongst vulnerable populations within the targeted communities. We recognize that investing in young people is critical to achieving inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development for present and future generations. We contribute to the meaningful development of women and young people by developing evidence-driven, innovative, sustainable, and relevant programs that address their practical and emerging needs

QUALITY EDUCATION

We promote free, equal access to quality education for all children from early learning to secondary education. We work with children, their families, communities, wider society, and governments, and advocate at both local and international levels so that all children can have equal access to quality education. We support communities to build schools while advocating for quality educational services from the government, we also provide opportunities for vocational training and collaborate with ministry education for further educational services, to all children, teenage mothers, and youths.

WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE

Water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are at the heart of child well-being and are essential for children and their families to thrive. We focus on bringing clean water, dignified sanitation, and effective hygiene practices to communities, schools, and healthcare facilities. Our water and Sanitation program aims to engage youth and women to raise their awareness of the importance of functioning sanitary facilities, water-related issues, sexual reproductive health, and hygiene.

HEALTH and HIV/AIDs

We are working to provide high-quality health information and services to our target groups and the community at large we envision a world where all the target groups have the knowledge, skills, capacity, and opportunities they need to transition into a healthy and productive life. We aim to build community capacity in fighting diseases through community empowerment, service provision, and advocacy for equitable resource allocation. We also collaborate with the Ministry of Health for the effective delivery of sustainable health services for local communities

DISABILITY

Young people, women, and children with disabilities commonly face more discrimination and severe social, economic, and civic disparities as compared with those without disabilities, even in developed countries. For many young people with disabilities, exclusion, isolation, and abuse, as well as lack of educational and economic opportunities are daily experiences. Youth, women, and Children with disabilities are amongst the most marginalized and poorest of the world whose basic rights are not well met and for whom full societal acceptance is often out of reach

GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

Gender-based violence is a violation of human rights that undermines the health, dignity, security, and autonomy of its victims, yet it remains shrouded in a culture of silence. Victims of violence can suffer sexual and reproductive health consequences, including forced marriages, unwanted pregnancies, unsafe abortions, traumatic fistula, sexually transmitted infections including HIV, or even death

HUMAN RIGHTS, GOVERNANCE

Our approach to achieve this is through a rights-based approach that puts individuals and communities at the center of our work. Our programs are designed to promote the realization of human rights, particularly those of women, girls, children, the elderly, youth, and persons with disability, and to empower communities to advocate for their rights. We adhere to key principles such as accountability, non-discrimination, and participation, which guide our work and ensure that our programs are effective and sustainable. By working in partnership with communities, government agencies, and civil society organizations, we strive to promote the protection and fulfillment of human rights for all.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change has a devastating effect upon the communities with which we work and we are addressing this through an organization-wide strategy. Environmental concerns are also increasingly becoming a feature of our wider programs and advocacy work. We the seed for change organization will prioritize the development of risk reduction work in communities that are vulnerable to the effects of climate change

SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE & LIVELIHOODS

Food is a basic need for us all. Sadly, access to it is not always guaranteed. Children and youth are often the first to feel the effects, being forced to go hungry or leave school to earn an income for their families. We work with youth and women to overcome poverty through our sustainable agriculture project. Through this project, sustainable solutions for building income sources and protecting the environment help youth and women to become resilient and overcome times of economic hardship. The objective of this program is to improve the agricultural production of communities for food and nutrition security, increase income, and build climate change resilience.
